Difficulty: 3 / 3
Chest Reward: Satyr Armor

This Vault is located in the very North-East corner of War's Den, on a ledge of the coastal cliff.

The chest for this Vault requires the Ares’s Wrath God Power in order to reach it.

Checkpoint 1

This unique vault’s main obstacles are the pushing Hydra Heads that appear out of the portals. Hydra heads knock Fenyx back even when just grazing one, with the exception of jumping on top of them, which you need to use to your advantage in the second and third portions of the level.

To start, head down to the first button with the Hero Plate on it. This starts the movement of both this platform and the one in the distance to meet in the middle. You’ll want to time stepping on the platform such that you’ll go past the Hydra Head just as it recedes back into the portal. Remember that it takes above a second for the platform to get up to speed after stepping on the Hero Plate.

Get the timing right, and you can simply coast to the middle and transfer to the next platform. Since this platform has no Hero Plate on it, you can’t control its movement once you step off. Stand on the back half initially, then when the next Hydra Head comes in, jump over the top of it to get past. Repeat this for the second head to make it to the next Checkpoint.

Checkpoint 2

The second half isn’t a platform ride but instead a tower climb. After rounding the first corner, you’ll need to Double Jump on top of the Hydra Head that appears so that you can Double Jump again to get to the next walkway. Get past the other Hydra Head around the corner, then at the next corner, get on top of the next Hydra Head to get to the next walkway. Get past one more Hydra Head to reach Checkpoint 3!

Checkpoint 3

Before continuing on however, turn around! When the Hydra Head turns up, use it to jump up on top of the high wall with a Double Jump and Ares’s Wrath. Head to the walkway on the right, then jump on top of the Hydra Head when it appears, then Glide to the island where the chest is. You may need to use Ares’s Wrath at the end of the glide too. The Chest will contain Satyr Armour!

In order to get back, you’ll need to Glide to the walkway on the left side of the tower, because the right-hand side is guarded by Corruption that almost instantly drains your energy.

Okay, back to the main path. Use the same timing strategy as with Checkpoint 1’s platform to get past the Hydra Heads, then when jumping to the double platform, stand on the far end to avoid the third one. Next you’ll have another Hero Plate platform to stand on; luckily you have all the time in the world to jump on so you can reset yourself for the next Hydra. When the platform stops, you’ll need to jump onto the Hydra Head nearby in order to reach the wide platform above.

As the wide platform moves, stand on the right-hand side to avoid another Hydra Head. Jump onto the Hero Plate platform with the usual timing, then at the end, jump on another Hydra Head to reach the final platform. As it moves forward, use yet another Hydra Head to get up to the final Checkpoint.

Checkpoint 4

Avoid the two smashing Hydra Heads as you climb up the platforms to the first Hero Plate platform. This is actually a wide one with two plates on it. This is because the route up ahead has sets of Hydra Heads aligned with each third of the platform. However the easiest way to pass through is to step on the left-hand plate just as the main set of heads recede: you’ll have smooth sailing to the other side.

Next up are a trio of platforms with gaps between them, which of course is more difficult to manage (the lack of Hero Plates to control their movement doesn’t help either). Pay attention to the Hydra’s formations to avoid getting hit.

Once you’re at the end you’ll need to jump onto the two nose-bumping Hydra Heads to get to the end. BEWARE though: you’ll be directly under some Hydra Heads coming in from above. You’ll want to be standing on the right-hand platform as that space is safe. Once you’re at the end, don’t forget to open the Chest on the left for 2 Charon Coins!
