Times like this, it’s so easy for me to ditch cooking and order takeout. Who’s with me?

And if I’m ordering take out for dinner (and ok fine Jimmy John’s for lunch, too <– but that was totally not my idea 😉 ), it’s necessary that I fill my body withall the good things for breakfasts and snacks.

Enter: Cherry Smoothie Bowl.

Smoothie bowls are so popular right now that I thought it was about darn time to put one on the blog and I gotta say, I finally see what all the fuss is about. They’re quick andeasy to make, full of nutrients, and hellooo they’re deeeelicious.

So get ready, because more smoothie bowls are definitely coming your way, but in the meantime, let’s all enjoy this Cherry Smoothie Bowl.🍒

Cherry Smoothie Bowl Recipe - Only 3 Ingredients! (3)If you haven’t hopped on the smoothie bowl train yet, DOOOOO it.

The best part is that smoothie bowls are so crazy quick and easy to make and they only have TWO components.

#1: the actual smoothie bowl

#2: the toppings <– to be honest, they’re the best part 😉

First up, the cherry smoothie bowl.

It’s only made of THREE ingredients. THREE!

Cherry Smoothie Bowl Recipe - Only 3 Ingredients! (4)Place frozen cherries (I used Dole Dark Sweet Cherries) into your Vitamix along with non fat plain greek yogurt and Bai Ipanema Pomegranate. Blend until smooth and creamy and pour into your favorite bowl.

Originally, I was going to add in spinach, too, and YOU totally can, but is it wrong that I didn’t add spinach, because I wanted to keep the pretty pink color??? 😉

Quick note: Bai (not a sponsored post, they’re just the victim to my latest obsession 😉 ) seriously tooooooo the rescue, because I was originally going to use milk in this recipe to thin out the smoothie bowl.

But guess what?

When recipe testing this, I didn’t HAVE any milk, and I had z.e.r.o. motivation to go to the grocery store, but guess what again?

I think using Bai was actually a better choice. It adds just the right of sweetness to counter the tart cherries and non fat plain greek yogurt. PLUS pomegranate and cherry just work. Yes? Yes.

Cherry Smoothie Bowl Recipe - Only 3 Ingredients! (5)That’s it for the smoothie, so let’s talk toppings.

The possibilities are literally endless, but today, I used dried cherries, flaked coconut (I used Bob’s Red Mill Unsweetened Flaked Coconut), chopped almonds, and chia seeds, because I thought those would go well with the cherry smoothie bowl.

And guess what again again? They did. 😉

Notes

Feel free to add in a handful of your favorite green (like spinach)!

*For a sweeter option use 1 (4 oz) container non fat vanilla greek yogurt (or 2 for the large bowl).

**Use more or less depending on how thick you want your smoothie. Don't have Bai? Use your favorite flavored water, or even milk! If using milk, you may need to add additional sweetener.
